The Quality Policy of ESOGU Faculty of Theology

Our quality policy is based on our faculty achieving their goals in corporate governance, education-training, research-development, community service, and internationalization, in alignment with our university's mission and vision, and with the support of our stakeholders. Our basic principle is to consider scientific, legal, and ethical principles in the accomplishment of our goals and to adopt an innovative, egalitarian, and sustainable approach. Our understanding of quality aims to contribute to the production of qualified knowledge at national and international levels, sensitive to the needs of society, by centring continuous improvement and development. In this direction:

 

ESOGU Faculty of Theology Institutional Administration Policy

Our faculty aims to create a management culture that encourages the participation of all stakeholders in the process by adopting a transparent, participatory, and accountable management approach. In this context, in order to provide a sustainable and egalitarian management structure that adheres to ethical principles, our faculty seeks;

- To increase transparency and participation in decision-making processes;

- To support all stakeholders to contribute to management by establishing an effective communication network;

- To strengthen an accountable corporate structure based on ethical values;

- To research good practice examples used in the effectiveness of managerial systems and processes and to ensure that they are brought to the institution;

- To ensure institutional sustainability by improving the quality assurance system.

 

ESOGU Faculty of Theology Education Policy

Our faculty aims to be an innovative and student-oriented educational institution that continues its educational activities within the framework of critical thinking, ethical values, and sensitivity to society. In this direction, our faculty aims:

- To offer a curriculum that contributes to our students to become socially responsible individuals in accordance with universal standards;

- To enrich education and training processes by using digital transformation and innovative educational technologies;

- To ensure that our students have competence in different fields by diversifying elective courses and conducting scientific activities on current issues;

- To continuously improve the quality of education by supporting the professional development of academic staff;  

- To provide a learning environment that is supportive and sensitive to their differences by adopting a student-oriented education model.

 

ESOGU Faculty of Theology Research and Development Policy

Our faculty is motivated to contributing to the production of knowledge through research projects that provide social benefit and prioritize interdisciplinary cooperation and innovation. In this context, our faculty is committed:

- To develop national and international projects by encouraging interdisciplinary cooperation;

- To establish cooperation networks with other institutions and centres; 

- To provide all kinds of support necessary to improve the competencies of its research staff and to increase their research performance in line with these competencies with a non-intrusive management approach;

- To be active in knowledge production by conducting qualified research on social problems;

- To increase the academic recognition of our faculty through international publications and scientific collaborations.

 

ESOGU Faculty of Theology Community Contribution Policy

Our faculty aims to be an institution that acts with the awareness of social responsibility towards different parts of society and has adopted the principle of contributing to social development. In this direction, our faculty aims:

- To develop projects for the needs of the society by cooperating with the public, civil society and private sector;

- To organise trainings and activities that will raise social awareness;

- To provide sensitive and solution-oriented services to social problems by constantly interacting with the society;

- To encourage students to participate in projects that contribute to society.

- To organise scientific and academic meetings, seminars, conferences, etc. with Provincial and District Mufti Offices, Provincial and District Directorates of National Education and non-governmental organisations.

 

ESOGU Faculty of Theology Internationalisation Policy

Our faculty aims to be a globally recognised, innovative, research-oriented and culturally diverse educational institution. It aims to contribute to our students and academic staff to become world citizens by enriching them with international experiences and to gain competences that will be involved in producing solutions to global problems. While achieving this goal, it adopts ethical values, accessibility, universal inclusiveness and sustainability as core values. In order to manage and sustain the internationalisation process effectively and efficiently, our faculty is committed;

- To develop joint programmes and projects with international universities by strengthening academic collaborations;

- To increase the number of students participating in student exchange programmes;

- To increase the mobility of academic staff; to ensure that our faculty members take an active role in international conferences, seminars and research projects;

- To train graduates with global perspectives by aligning the curriculum and educational content with international standards;

- To increase the foreign language competence of our students and academic staff by emphasising language proficiency and education;

- To create multicultural educational environments and active participation of our international students in campus life by supporting cultural diversity and harmony;

- To bring our faculty in line with international quality standards and to continuously improve these standards by focusing on quality assurance and accreditation processes.
